After installing Thesis, you’ll need to verify your Thesis license to allow DIYthemes to provide automatic updates for new versions of Thesis through their auto-updater system. This step-by-step guide will walk you through the process.

Don’t have Thesis? Download and install Thesis, then meet back here to continue installing Thesis.
Note: Although Thesis works without a license key, only websites with an active license status will receive updates for Thesis.
Registering your website domain
To get started, log in to your DIYthemes account. Once logged in, locate My Licenses near the top of the page.
My Licenses displays all of your available licenses. Press the Manage Domains link on your Thesis license.

After that, enter your website domain name (e.g. yourwebsite.com) into the designated field and press the Add Domain button.

Your Thesis license is now verified and your website will receive automatic Thesis updates!
Accessing your Thesis license key
Pro Tip: If you already verified your Thesis license by registering your domain, you do not need to also verify using this alternative method.
The alternative method involves verifying your Thesis license on your website. To get started, log in to your DIYthemes account. Once logged in, locate My Licenses near the top of the page.
My Licenses displays all of your available licenses. Highlight the license key string and copy it, or simply refer back to the license key when verifying your license in the next step.

Once you’ve accessed your Thesis license key, log into your WordPress installation and go to  Thesis → Thesis License Key.
Then enter the license key that you just accessed into the designated field and press the Save License Key button.

If your license has been successfully verified, you will see some information about your activation.
- Status: The state of your license, such as active.
- Term: The date when your license will expire.
- Domains: How many domains your license is active on.
Your Thesis license is now verified and your website will receive automatic Thesis updates!
